BROOK DOUGHERTY
Brook Dougherty began her career in New York as a copywriter for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising. She moved to Los Angeles where she became Vice President of Creative Affairs and International Sales for UAA Films. She was then recruited to head up the film department of Pierre Cossette Productions. As a mom, Dougherty engaged in years of volunteer work which formed the basis for the launch of her company, Handmade Marketing. The company specializes in marketing for not-for-profit organizations and has worked in the areas of domestic violence, developmental disabilities, Veterans affairs, pediatric hospice and palliative care. Dougherty founded Young Angels in response to the need she saw in L.A. youth to participate in meaningful community service. Young Angels has served local L.A. non-profits for four years, and is now focused on national development. She is married to F. Jay Dougherty, a professor of entertainment law and intellectual property at Loyola Law School.

DEBBIE KOERNER
Debbie Koerner created some of Los Angeles’ most extraordinary events during her 14 years with Southern California’s prestigious catering company, Rococo. Clients included the Annual Emmy Awards, American Music Awards, LACMA, MOCA, Phantom of the Opera premiere, the LA Marathon and many more. She moved to Phenomenex, Inc. where she was Director of Purchasing. Koerner joined Handmade Marketing as a partner at the inception of Young Angels and has been an events and production guru ever since. Her expertise in budget, research, financial management, night-of management and security has provided a unique learning experience for the Young Angels as they move through the production process. Koerner is also now focused on national development. She is married to Philip Koerner, Ph.D., Senior Technical Director, Phenomenex, Inc.
